Matthew R. Ludowig is a distinguished healthcare attorney with over a decade of experience advising a a diverse range of clientele. He began his career in 2012 as a civilian prosecutor where he tried 40+ cases to verdict over the span of nearly 8 years. Many of those cases were high visibility with significant media attention attached to them, including one, which most recently was featured on the hit Netflix series “Making a Murderer.” In 2018, while still serving as a civilian prosecutor, Mr. Ludowig was commissioned as an officer in the United States Air Force, accepting an assignment with the Judge Advocate (“JAG”) Corps. In 2020, Mr. Ludowig transitioned into private practice, serving as Empower Pharmacy’s General Counsel for 3 years. During that same period, Mr. Ludowig oversaw the Company’s legal, compliance, and regulatory affairs initiatives at various intervals, which helped aid the Company in substantial year-over-year growth. After leaving Empower, Mr. Ludowig served as a Partner at the law firm of Hanszen Laporte, LLP, where he shared his knowledge of the compounding legal and regulatory landscape with providers, physician owned clinics, management service organizations (“MSO’s”), pharmacies, outsourcing facilities and distributors. Today, Mr. Ludowig is the Managing Member of Innova Health Law, PLLC, a firm dedicated to assisting clients navigating the complexities of the compounded pharmaceutical market.
